market UPDATE
There are currently 618 G550s in operation worldwide. The production years range from 2011 to 2020, with pre-owned prices in the mid-11s to over $30 million. The last model year, when new, had a base price of $55 million. At the moment, 21 aircraft are listed for sale, with 7 in pending status, leaving actual availability at just 14 aircraft, and that represents only 2.3% of the global fleet, which is an exceptionally tight supply environment for this aircraft. Looking at inventory and pricing trends over the past 12 months, the levels have moved lower by 50% from a year ago, and that limited supply has helped support values. Average pre-owned asking prices are up approximately 17% from March of 2025, reflecting continued strength in the segment. The average days on market has dropped 30% since March of 2025 to 198 days. It's also important to note that not all aircraft are moving at the same pace. Aircraft attracting the strongest buyer interest are late model, lower time G550s, with strong pedigree and updated cosmetics. Those aircraft tend to move quickly once they come to market. Looking at the transaction activity, there have been 89 retail sales over the past 12 months, confirming that the G550 continues to be one of the most active aircraft in the large cabin pre-owned market. Based on the current transaction rate, the amount of time to sell the current inventory is 3.9 months. But keep in mind and this number is based on the 21 aircraft listed for sale. So the actual rate is lower due to the real availability. In summary, the G550 market remains very healthy with strong buyer demand and limited late model inventory. Well positioned aircraft, particularly late model examples with good pedigree and program coverage, continue to attract serious attention from the buyers.
