market UPDATE
The market continues to be active with inventory levels down 41% from a year ago. The average asking price has increased 24% over the past 12 months and G-150s are selling at a slightly slower pace. The days on the market has also gone up 14% from this time last year. There have been 20 retail sales over the past 12 months and the vintages of those aircraft sold range between 2006 and 2016 models. Based on recent supply and demand trends, there's currently about a six-month supply of inventory on the market for sale. In summary, asking prices have increased as most of the G-150 fleet approached their first 16C inspection. The aircraft with the canoe fairing AD complied with are preferred. Overall, I'd categorize the G-150 market as a seller's market with average airframe time, recent 16C check, and the new fairing AD complied with, AD coming due. I still give the G-150 market a balanced B-plus demand rating. By the way, the aircraft pictured in this report is serial number 215 and is for sale through Holstein Aviation.
