This market is extremely tight, with currently only one aircraft on the market for sale. Throughout the course of last year, the for-sale inventory increased to three aircraft during the fall, but is now back to only one. The fact that the inventory decreased so quickly is a good indicator of how strong this market really is. As you would expect, prices are also increasing, and aircraft are being sold at a premium. Challenger 3500s are selling at a very fast pace. The average daily days on the market is only 52 days. There have been 67 retail sales over the past 12 months, with the peak months being June and December. Thirteen aircraft delivered in June, and 14 delivered in December. The vast majority of these sales are new aircraft being delivered to customers with a few pre-owned sales. Based on the recent supply and demand trends, there is currently about two months of inventory on the market for sale. In summary, this market is very strong. OEM backlog for a new Challenger 3500 is helping to prop up the pre-owned market.
