CHALLENGER 3500 MARKET SNAPSHOT

Today we're breaking down the core market metrics to help owners, buyers, and corporate flight departments make informed decisions in the current environment. The Challenger 3500 market is experiencing an unprecedented growth. And a supply squeeze presenting distinct advantages and challenges for both sides of the transaction. Available pre-owned inventory has been completely exhausted across the entire 199 plane in operation fleet, leaving no pre-owned aircraft currently available for sale. The last pre-owned listing captured in the market data carried an asking price of $25.95 million dollars. Despite the total lack of secondary market listings, retail transactional velocity remains incredibly high. Factory new deliveries from the OEM are completely dominating the market. Fleet operators are absorbing massive volume, driving an impressive peak of 20 retail transactions in a single month this past December. With demand completely outpacing secondary supply, it is an extreme seller's market. For current owners, this environment offers an unmatched opportunity to maximize residual value upon divestment. For buyers navigating this market, it requires looking to the OEM backlog or uncovering exclusive off-market opportunities. Holstein Aviation is the definitive solution to help both buyers and sellers navigate this highly complex landscape, protect your capital, and execute precise transactions.

This market is extremely tight, with currently only one aircraft on the market for sale. Throughout the course of last year, the for-sale inventory increased to three aircraft during the fall, but is now back to only one. The fact that the inventory decreased so quickly is a good indicator of how strong this market really is. As you would expect, prices are also increasing, and aircraft are being sold at a premium. Challenger 3500s are selling at a very fast pace. The average daily days on the market is only 52 days. There have been 67 retail sales over the past 12 months, with the peak months being June and December. Thirteen aircraft delivered in June, and 14 delivered in December. The vast majority of these sales are new aircraft being delivered to customers with a few pre-owned sales. Based on the recent supply and demand trends, there is currently about two months of inventory on the market for sale.  In summary, this market is very strong. OEM backlog for a new Challenger 3500 is helping to prop up the pre-owned market.

This market is extremely tight, with currently only one aircraft being circulated off market for sale. Over the course of the last year, inventory increased to three aircraft during the fall of 2025, but it's now back to only one off-market pre-owned option available. In the last several months, there have been four pre-owned Challenger 3500 transactions with all of those aircraft selling at a premium above $25 million. When Challenger 3500s are put on the market, they sell at a fast pace the average days on the market for an aircraft that recently sold was around 67 days. There have been 62 retail sales over the past 12 months with the peak months being June, September, and December. 37 aircraft transacted during those three months alone. The vast majority of those sales are new aircraft being delivered to customers with some pre-owned sales. In summary, this market is very strong. OEM Backlog for new Challenger 3500s is helping to prop up the pre-owned market.
