Two Honeywell HTF7500E turbofan engines are pylon mounted on each side of the rear fuselage. the engine is a twin-spool, medium bypass ratio turbofan. thrust is generaged by a single stage, wide chord, damper less fan and driven by an uncooled and shrouded three stage low-pressure turbine. The compressor has four axial blisks with two-stage high pressure turbine with cooled blades. the compuster is an annular, effusion-cooled through-flow chamber.

A FULLY-AUTOMATIC HONEYWELL AUXILIARY POWER UNIT (apu) IS INSTALLED IN THE TAIL CONE WITH A CONTANT-SPEED GAS TURBINE ENGINE. AN ELECTRONIC CONTROL UNIT STARTS THE APU AND COORDINATES ACCELERATION AND OPERATION. THE APU IS A SOURCE OF SHAFT POWER FOR THE AIRCRAFT'S ELECTRICAL GENERATION SYSTEM, PNEUMATIC POWER FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL SYSTEM (AIR CONDITIONING), AND MAIN ENGINE STARTING SYSTEM ON THE GROUND OR IN FLIGHT.
