Don Mercer began his aviation career at the age of 14, learning to fly sailplanes, and later earned an Airline Transport Pilot License with multiple turbine and turboprop aircraft type ratings. He is also a Certified Flight Instructor. This extensive flight operations experience greatly benefits his business aircraft brokerage and acquisition clients, enhancing the service and expertise he provides to both corporate and private clients.

After earning a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Miami, Don launched his career with Beech Aircraft Corporation as a sales engineer, marketing supersonic and subsonic missile targets worldwide. He then transitioned into business aviation, managing new aircraft sales across Europe and Africa, quickly advancing to the role of Regional Manager.

His experience in aircraft demonstrations and pre-owned sales management at Raytheon Aircraft/Hawker Beechcraft (formerly Beech Aircraft Corp) prepared him for the role of Beechcraft Director, and later, Vice President of Global Pre-Owned Sales. His exceptional performance led to an expanded role overseeing new aircraft sales, culminating in his promotion to lead new aircraft sales across the Western Hemisphere.

Following Textron Aviation’s acquisition of Beechcraft Corporation in 2014, Don successfully integrated a Beech and Cessna regional sales team, overseeing both new and pre-owned sales of jets and turboprops.
