market UPDATE
The market continues to be active with inventory levels down 7% from a year ago. The average asking price has decreased 10% over the past 12 months and the G200s are selling at a slightly faster pace. The days on the market has also gone down 6% from this time last year. And there have been 36 retail sales over the past 12 months. The vintages of aircraft that have sold over the last 12 months range from 2000 to 2011 models. Based on recent supply and demand trends, there's currently about a 13-month supply of aircraft on the market for sale right now. In summary, prices have decreased as 39 aircraft available creates a competitive selection and a wide range of serial numbers to consider. Overall, I'd categorize the G200 as a buyer's market, especially for the heavier serial numbers manufactured prior to serial number 76. Also there's not been an STC approved for the upgrade of the G200's Proline 4 avionics which can affect the G200's longevity. Moving forward, I still give the G200 market a balanced B demand rating.
